Ian Nicholson
Ian Nicholson’s enthusiasm is legendary, and there are few mountain guides who can match Ian’s rare combination of skill and expertise with his never-ending patience, understanding, and teaching ability. Ian has been guiding for more than 17 years and is an extremely well respected member of the Northwest’s guiding community. He is an internationally licensed IFMGA/UIAGM mountain guide, meaning he is certified by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) in the Rock, Alpine, and Ski disciplines. In the guiding world this is the literally the highest level of training and certification you can receive in the United States and the world. Ian is so passionate about his guests' experience and the mountain guiding craft that he now teaches for the AMGA on a national level helping to train the next generation of mountain guides.
